I'm Still Alive

Hey! Just checking in to say that I am still around. Things are going... OK at work. It is no longer fun and exciting but it is still a job and although it has it's ups and downs like all jobs do, it's a decent job. I just got a load taken off of my mind, the "Office Manager" said that we can put off my 6 month review until 7 months. She is feeling overwhelmed with work and will have to be in the office for 3 whole days this week, so she doesn't want to have to come in next week to do my evaluation. Fine with me! That will give me time to get caught up on some things and give me a better chance at getting a decent raise and my bonus. The bonus is the downside to waiting. I was really hoping to get that before Christmas. But hey, extra cash right after Christmas is a good thing too.

Tomorrow in the office we are planning to put up our Christmas Tree and get out our Firm Christmas Cards.

James and I received our first Christmas Card over the weekend, it was from one of the firm partners and his wife. I can't wait to start getting them in, I love to see a wall covered in Christmas wishes.

We put up our tree over a week ago but finally had the girls decorate it on Sunday night before bed. It was really fun to watch. Our tree is beautiful, I pulled it in the middle of the floor and told them to decorate all sides of it. They did a great job and because they are so short, the top foot to foot and a half is almost bare but below that is covered with tons of ornaments. I bought more than we needed and that is just the way I like it. Plentiful! At first, I planned to 'fix' the tree after they went to bed, but looking at it when they were all done, I decided that it was perfect just the way they had it.
