Big Day!

Well, today was Jessica's first day of Kindergarten. She is going to Nichols Hills Elementary which is a uniform school and her teacher's name is Ms. Andrews. She is in the half day program so her schedule is Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 11:00am.

She had a very good first day. We took pictures in front of the tree in our front yard and then walked her to school. The line of parked cars ended about a block from our house so driving wasn't worth the effort. Once we got her to school, it was picture time again. The first thing she did when she got into class was to give her teacher an apple. (She had seen someone give their teacher an apple on tv and she had her mind set that she had to do it too.) Jessica was very brave, she gave me a hug, found her seat and sat quietly while she waited for her class to start. She is such a trooper.

After we were in the classroom it started to rain outside. Thank goodness it didn't rain on Jessica's hair! Haha! James, Jordan and I had to walk home in the rain. It was surprisingly refreshing.

Her class was nice and bright. There are lots of activities to do and they even have three computers. I couldn't believe she actually had homework on the very first day of school.

She was really excited when I picked her up. She had a great time and she is ready to go back tomorrow. She has already picked her outfit.

James got the call he's been waiting for today while he was on lunch. He got the job at Hertz!! He will be an information analyst in thier Administrative Center, formerly known as the Financial Center. He is very excited!! I am too!
