This is getting old
I have to say, I am getting tired of this mess with Rachel. James called last Saturday and offered to pick him up, he called Sunday and offered to pick him up, Rachel said that she would drop him off at 3pm and pick him up at 9pm. Well, she finally dropped him off at 345ish and picked him up at nearly 10pm. UGH! It makes it hard to get my girls to bed when he is still up playing and Jessica wants to get to tell him goodbye. Christian was tired long before she showed up, he even asked her when she got here, "When we get home, can I go to bed?" She of course said "I don't care, you do whatever you wanna do." He is 6! He should not get to do whatever he wants to do! The GAL told Rachel to call and set things up for us to go to the zoo on Wednesdays. Well, she didn't. James had to bring it up and even then she was not cooperative. James tried to get him Tuesday night because we wanted to go to the zoo early and we had other people going with us so her games wouldn't just effect us for Wednesday. Rachel wouldn't allow him to spend the night so James told her he'd be there to pick him up at 6am. She said that was too early we could have him at 9am. What time does he get up for school? James told her, 6am we are going early and we need breakfast first. Rachel said not to worry about feeding Christian breakfast. What is that? Don't feed him before you take him to expend A LOT of energy at the zoo? When she called the night before at 1030pm Christian was still up. UGH! She clearly never had any intention of making this easy on us. But true to his word, James was knocking on thier door at 6am, then calling... we went twice between 6 and 7am. No one was moving inside. We came home, James called at 7:40am, no answer finally at 9am she answered and said James could come pick him up. He headed out from our house, when he got there Christian still wasn't ready. James set his phone to record when he got there, it records for ten minutes, When it stopped, Christian still had not come out. Rachel said nothing about when or if she wanted Christian back. That night at nearly 9, I finally decided to put the girls to bed. At this point, I was not getting the girls out to take him home if she ever decided to call. She showed up at our door right at 9pm, with no warning, no call, no arrangements or agreements. James went to get Christian and I went to the door. I opened it and said "hi." She just looked at me. So, I said "Can I help you?" I mean really, you don't just show up on someones doorstep and refuse to speak. Geez! So, she started yelling at me the first thing she said was "What are you stupid?" The camera was on the far side of the living room and she was outside, you couldn't even see her on the camera but she was heard loud and clear even over the tv that was on below the camera. UGH! She went on but the details aren't important. I closed the door and said "he is not leaving with her". I immediately retracted that, I know I don't have the authority to make that kind of decision but I also said something about her being so disrespectful. Unfortunately I said it in front of Christian. Although I wasn't saying anything that he couldn't have heard himself but I still feel bad about it. We have been trying to get more videos together, we finally got the adapter so that we can put our home videos on the computer and eventually burn them to dvd. This means that I have been hearing her voice over and over and over and over for days; Listening to all of the horrible things that she says that just crawls under my skin. The sound of her voice at this point makes me aggitated. It has really been affecting my attitude on the whole. I haven't been too grumpy just kind of down. I thought I was faking it pretty well but James pointed out yesterday at lunch that he noticed I wasn't as happy as usual. I need to bigger effort not to let this stuff affect me so much.
