It's too cold

We had a pretty good day; it started off by trying to get Christian, it took awhile but we did finally get him. We had a really nice day with him. Everyone played and played. Christian taught me how to play his Crash game that he calls his Tiger game. He also told me I wasn't very good at video games.. haha He couldn't be more right. Once he got here, James had a permanent smile on his face. We were standing in the kitchen watching the kids play together in the living room and James turned to me and said "My boy is home." It had been too long since we'd had him here. He was very missed. Last time he was here didn't not go great but this time was very nice. He seemed so excited to be here and everyone here was excited to have him here. I made the kids a snack of peanut butter and crackers, I worried they'd all hate it but it went over really well with both of the big kids.. Jordan was giving hers away though. Christian even went as far as to tell me "Hey Joy, this is good." I let Christian pick what we had for dinner. He picked pancakes. (Not my favorite food, but everyone else loves them.) I used Bisquick, no one complained so I suppose they turned out ok. The only drama all day was when he was getting ready to go back to Rachel's house. Jessica didn't want him to go, he got upset about it. I did my best to explain to both of them that Christian is not going home because he doesn't want to be with us or because he doesn't love us, he's going home because he and his mom miss each other, just like we miss him when he is not here. Then I tried to explain that it's a good thing when Jess doesn't want him to leave because it just means that she loves and misses him too and he's so lucky to have so many people who love him so much. I don't know if what I said made any sense but it seemed to stop the arguement for the time being anyway. However, Jessica still cried about him leaving regardless of what I told her.

Jordie went poopoo in the potty today... she did great most of the day but the one accident she had was standing right in front of James. He was NOT happy but since it was while I was cooking dinner, he actually helped clean it up... I couldn't believe it! I guess I got a good one. HA!

I dared not venture outside today. Even the day's high was well below freezing. I was very worried about James taking Christian back to Rachel. He called and offered to keep him because of the weather but ended up taking him home anyway, per Rachel's request. Last I saw on the news Edmond and Putnam City Schools are both closed tomorrow, OKC of course is still open; They rarely close and by the time they do, it's usually a few days into a storm and ends up being a clearer day than when you had to tread the icy roads. All the cold puts me in the mood for stews and soups and chili. I only just found out that my husband doesn't like any of those things. He says he doesn't want to eat soup, even if it tastes good. He equates soup with being sick. Sigh! Maybe I can encourage him with a little cornbread. I do know that he likes cornbread and it goes swimmingly with soup or chili.

Rachel told James tonight that in the future she wants him to drop Christian off to Buddy and Louise on Sunday nights because she has bible study from 7-9pm. James let her know that is NOT going to happen. So, for the time being, if James can't take Christian to Rachel, he will just stay with us until she finds time to pick him up herself. She suggested that if she can't make it, she will send Buddy. That didn't go over well either.

James and I spent some time uploading recordings and videos that we've made of phone calls and encounters with Rachel etc. There is a link on my home page if you want to watch or listen to some of them. There are lots more to come, some that we recorded a long time ago and some that will fill in the dates not accounted for already. We don't have it uploaded yet but we do have a recording of Rachel saying that she got the money for her lawyer from Buddy. That should be of interest to some who've been mislead or lied to about Louise and Buddy's involvement in this mess. We go to court soon for the motion to enforce the standing judgement, I assume that means we will have Christian a lot more often which will be a very welcome change. We should be getting a court date for the custody hearing then too.

Yes, it is too cold...Brrr.
I am so glad that you were able to have Christian today. It has been too long. I can't wait until we can all get together again as a family and Christian can be there.
Just keep telling Christian that Jessica cares about him and worries about him when she can be with him and sooner or later, he will understand.
Hugs & Kisses to everyone!
