Busy Week
Well, the dinner Sunday was nice. James, the girls and I met my Mom, Dad, Aunt Jana and cousin Sara at Cimarron Steakhouse. Jessica decided that she wanted to spend the night with Grammie and Papa. Jordan fell asleep in the car on the way home and never budged when I put her in bed. It was almost like we had the house to ourselves for an evening, which almost never happens.
Monday, my actual birthday, felt like any other day. When I called about picking Jess up for school, my mom answered by wishing me a happy day and I got calls from my cousin Rhonda and my brother Danny with well wishes. James told me happy birthday on the phone about a dozen times. He had a busy day. School then work, an hour of overtime and then an interview. He got home around 9ish. I spent my day getting ready for Valentines. I assembled a basket of Falcons 'stuff' with red tissue paper, two football balloons and one balloon that said I love you, also tucked in several places in the basket were peanut butter cookies that I tried my best to make look like footballs.
This morning when the girls got up I got them together on our bed and James and I gave them their valentine puppies, red and white stuffed puppies. They were both so excited. I thought the puppies were a little too girlie for Christian so he got a brown bear with little hearts tied around his neck that said "xo" on each one. I tied a balloon to his wrist that said "Happy Valentines Day." I printed a coloring sheet of a heart with a big smile and arms and legs... it was really cute. James and I each signed it and because he can't read, I went to Wal-mart and had a picture of James and I printed and enclosed it with the coloring sheet so that he'd know where it came from. I dropped off the bear at his school's front office and asked them to deliver it to him. They said they'd put them with the others and they will be delivered at the end of the day. There was a table full of deliveries. Ha! We haven't seen Christian in over two weeks so we thought it was important to do something special for him, even if we couldn't see him, we want him to know we are thinking about him.
Sunday, James had to work, he got a call from Christian about 730am then another call from Louise after James was at work, she left a voice mail, to make sure that James knew what Christian had said. James sent her a text message letting her know that he was working but could pick him up when he got off work at 4pm. She called again and said they'd be out of town until 5, Rachel gets off work at 5pm and he'd have to talk to Rachel about getting Christian after that. Since we were meeting everyone for dinner at 5pm and didn't finish dinner 'til almost 7pm and Rachel refuses to let Christian spend the night with us anymore, it was too late to call, it would have only resulted in a fight with zero results.
In a perfect world, even though James and Rachel were both working, it would have been nice if Christian could have spent the day with the girls and I here at the house and then he could have gone to my birthday dinner too. One of these days...
James will be home after class tonight about 930pm. I will have the girls in bed sleeping and a candle lit dinner of Chicken Parmesan and Salad. It may be late but we will have our Valentine's Dinner.
As for my afternoon, it will be spent with about 30 screaming kids at the girls Valentine's Parties. Woohoo!!

Hey, the party with the girls at school went very well. Better than the other classes went. I like the older children...lol..I really liked it when they let Jordan come over to Jessica's side and party with her sissy.
