Time to Blog
Well, it's been awhile since I posted anything so I thought I better get caught up.
Lately, we have been consumed by trying to find a new home with all of our free time. There are lots of houses to be had but most of them are too yucky or too expensive. It's hard to find a nice one that is affordable. We did find one yesterday that we both liked, at least from the outside. It has cactus in the front which makes me a little nervous with the kids but made James nostalgic for Arizona. It has a nice back yard and large porch with a huge built in smoker. What we can see of the house looks really nice but we can't see the bedrooms. If it is three bedrooms, we will pounce. Ha!
James is usually off on Wednesday's but this week he traded for Thursday to help someone in his office out. So, we spent all of Thursday looking for houses and running errands, from Edmond to Norman. James found out about his financial aide and went to sign the response to Rachel's motion to terminate joint custody. In his response, he agreed joint custody is not working and asked for Sole Custody for himself allowing visitation for Rachel. He requested first right of refusal and a motion to enforce with compensating visitation for all the time he's missed since Rachel started playing games. He requested that Rachel pay child support effective the day that his response is filed, that James be able to claim Christian on his taxes and that Rachel pay for both attorneys and all court cost. Some things listed as options for enforcing the terms of the judgment are posting a bond for her visitation, supervised visitation and/or counseling. It was sent via U.S. Mail to the courthouse yesterday and a copy was sent to her lawyer. Now, we are preparing for her next explosion, I can't imagine that she will be very happy when she sees what he filed.
The last time that James talked to Rachel was Friday night, he told her he'd call the next day to pick up Christian when he got off of work but when he called, she wouldn't talk to him, even though he called five times. Since he was off of work yesterday, he called to ask/offer to pick up Christian from school. She wouldn't let him, she immediately started in on him about not hearing from him in a week. How can she complain about him not calling when she won't answer and only plays games when he does. UGH! Then, she called back all nice and said that she wanted him to see Christian, alone. He should take him to the movies to spend time with him and bring him back to her, he can't come back here to play with the girls and he can't spend the night. She wouldn't budge so, James still didn't get to see him.
I have an odd rash. It developed sometime Tuesday. Some people who've seen it say it looks like nerves but it seems like it should have cleared up at some point if that were the case. I am trying benedryl and hydrocortisone, so far is hasn't improved. I don't know how long to try it before I give up and say it didn't work. It's on my chest and back and neck, no bumps but it itches. I assume that whatever it is, is not contagious because no one else in the house has it.
Last night, Jordan stood in the hallway, took off her diaper and pooped in the floor. We are potty training effective now. ha. We went and picked up more panties from Wal-mart. She will sit on the potty and go thru all of the motions even wiping and flushing but she doesn't actually do anything while she's up there. She's even come to tell me once today but still nothing when we got in there. It's only been hours and James is already acting like I'm a failure because I don't have her potty trained by now. He acts like she's committing some sort of crime when she pees in her panties. It's new, she will get it; But she didn't get it before he came home for lunch and she is not likely to get it by the time he comes home from work tonight. Lately, he's developed a real knack for making me feel small.
I think I am going to make potato soup for dinner. I have no idea if James will like it but hopefully he will try it. I'll make sure to throw in some cheese. That should make him happy. Ha. It's been cool today, soup will hit the spot for me.
