Our New House
We've been in our new house for a few days now. Things are finally starting to come together. The cable and fridge were put in today. The cable guys are on their way back, we aren't getting all of channels in our bedroom. James doesn't have school tonight so it will be nice to get to spend some time with him.
Yesterday was our one month anniversary. Yes, I know that celebrating months seems silly... When James got in from school I had a card and a couple of small things that I'd picked up for him during the day... it was all very girlie. He probably wasn't very impressed by the girl stuff. ha. After that he said that he had something for me and told me to go sit on the couch. He came in with a card and a bag. He gave me the card. After I read it, he opened the bag and showed me what he bought himself during the day.... haha. He's such a cutie. It was sweet of him to get a card for me. Most guys wouldn't have acknowledged one month at all. I've got such a sweet guy!
We still haven't gotten to see Christian since the 8th of this month.
I am hoping to get the house in order really soon so that we can start inviting people over. We'd like to have James' uncles over to see the house and we had talked about inviting a couple of friends over to play cards after we get a table. Picking a table has been a bigger task than I'd thought it would be. The really cute sets only come with 4 chairs. We need at least 5, ideally we'd like to have 6. We are going to have to buy a table and chairs separately, that actually gives us a lot of options and it takes awhile to explore all of the options. I think our goal is to get something over this next weekend.
Jordie is still potty training... she just came in without pants of any kind. I told her she better go get her panties on... she left and came back, still with no panties on but she held her hands up and said "where at?" then walked to the dresser, opened it, pushed the clothes to the side and grabbed her panties and put them on. SO SMART! lol I guess any mom would think so... but my kid is really smart. hahaha We've only had one accident today.

Joy,
Your new home will come together all of a sudden and you will be surprised.
I love the idea of the children getting to have their own rooms. I know that Christian will love his room when he does finally get to come over and see it.
You will move everything around more than one time and you may land up with it right back in the first spot you put it, but it will be just right when you get it there.
Love, Mom
