All around OK
Well, I've been on the move today. I took the girls to school on the way to Norman to drop off the rest of the retainer to our lawyer. The problem there is they go to school in SW OKC, almost Moore and we live in NW OKC, almost Edmond. I had forgotten the check for the lawyer so after dropping the girls off I headed back north. It's a long drive to Norman from here. Once I got back to the city I ran by the old neighborhood and turned in a couple of change of address forms. I'd skipped breakfast this morning so I was hungry. I decided to call my little brother and see if he wanted to have lunch before we started moving the last of the stuff. He was already on his way to meet his friend Mike for lunch at the very place that I was suggesting that we go. So, I joined them. Gosh, we talked and laughed for over an hour. It was nice to be chatting with adults again. So it turns out that Mike is going to meet Thomas and I at the old house to help us out about 3 or 330 this afternoon. What a nice guy. Ha! In exchange, I got nominated to cook dinner for them both tomorrow night after James gets home from work. Mike was pretty excited to find out that James is an X-BOX fan, he can't wait to play football tomorrow night.
We paid an entire month's rent at the old house, that's through Tuesday, but Brian wants James to do a walk thru with him this weekend. He's being such a pain. James helped renovate the house to make it livable, he even planted grass in the back yard since I've known him, he's done nothing but improve the house and now Brian wants a walk thru. It's like Brian's goal is to ensure that his relationship with James is irreparable. We are worried that after we leave, Brian and Buddy may try to mess up the house and say that we did it. That's just the kind of venom that they've proven themselves capable of in the last few months. I keep wondering what Ginger is thinking about all of this or what they are telling her is happening because she is never around when the really ugly stuff goes on. Besides, we've been given orders to leave her out of this by Brian. To think, I offered to throw her a baby shower. It hurt my feelings at the time but now, I am glad she declined. She said her friend Cindy was already planning one. As it is, moving the last of our things out of that house is the last string we have to them and that string will end in the next few days when the month has ended.
