Winter is here!

This has been a crazy morning. I was up most of the night with Jordan who was very sick. Once I got a couple of doses of anti-nausea medicine in her, she finally was able to rest. She didn't like the medicine but she was a big girl and took it anyway. I was very proud of her. This morning, she hadn't gotten sick for a few hours and she was even able to hold down her drink that she had so, I went ahead and took her to school. If there is any problem, she's just right down the street from me and I can go get her.

The Christmas program is supposed to be tonight. There is some concern about the weather so, the school said that they will make a final decision today at 4pm about whether or not they are going to cancel it. If they do, Jessica will be so disappointed. She has been working so hard to learn her songs and she's very excited about wearing her new outfit tonight and all of her family coming to see her and her sissy. I will be pretty disappointed too. I have the camcorder battery on the charger and I bought new tapes last night and everything. I have all of last years program on tape, I was hoping for this years too.

Assuming their school decides that the show must go on, James is going to pick the girls up from school a little early for me so that I can save about an extra half hour's time. That way I can get home and start getting the kids changed and ready. Jessica wants me to curl her hair. That will depend on how much extra time we have. Maybe I can sit behind her and curl her hair while she eats dinner. That would be extreme, but it might work.

We went shopping again last night. I got all of the kids shoes. I found the boys dress socks and picked out a black pair for Christian. I got a box of rumba pants for the girls. They are a great stage where some things fit both of them. The package I got had three pair and the size was 2t - 4t, perfect for both girls. Woohoo! With the wedding coming up, I decided that it was time that I buy some nice makeup for a change. I've been trying to buy the cheap stuff for too long and then I end up not wearing it at all because it doesn't look right. I tried the new stuff out this morning and I like it a lot.

James had a good night at school last night. He did really well on his test. Of course!

When he got home we picked out our wedding clothes from a new site. The clothes we originally ordered were a little more Christmas and less wedding. These are a little more wedding and not at all Christmas. James seems pretty excited about what we picked though, so that is all that matters I suppose. I've been concentrating on kids clothes for too long now. I called my brother to ask about his size and said "Do you think you'd wear a 2t or 3t?" We all got a good laugh out of it but I felt pretty foolish.

We haven't gotten it confirmed but it appears that James' dad is coming to town for the wedding. That is GREAT news! James was so excited! He yelled from the bedroom for me to come look. He had it highlighted on the computer screen and a BIG smile on his face. I have to say that I am pretty excited about it myself.

I don't know what is going on with Rachel today but she was calling at 7am this morning. She didn't leave a message and James didn't make it to the phone in time to answer it. I can only hope that she doesn't have something up her sleeve. I haven't known her to call that early before. Usually, when we go to pick up or drop off Christian in the mornings, she's still asleep even at 10 or 11. So, this makes me nervous. James said, if it was important, she would have left a message. I checked the status of the check that James sent her and she still hasn't picked it up from the post office, so that may be what she was calling about.

OK, I just talked to James and it is confirmed. His dad is coming for the wedding. Woohoo! James sounds like a little boy on Christmas morning.

James is at his school counselors office this morning, trying to finalize his schedule and make certain he has everything lined up so that he can graduate next semester.

Work is good. Payroll is done. Now we are filing and waiting for the checks to come in tomorrow so that we can finish up. The calm won't last long, we are already getting in work for next payroll.

I was wondering if anyone was reading my blog because I wasn't getting much response. Finally, someone pointed out that the comment field was missing. So I found out how to add the comment field this morning and I am excited to hear what people have to say.
