Too Much Time at Wal-Mart (Registry)
Well, we did it! We spent all day at Wal-mart! At least it feels that way. First we went to get the last of the things we needed for the wedding, we even got the cake ordered. We had gone about 11:30, when we were finally able to get Christian, even though James called before 9am. So, we got our shopping there done and decided to take a break. We ran to Home Depot to get the sand that we needed and to Party Galaxy for the Wedding Party leis. Then off to Golden Corral to meet my parents for lunch. We had a nice time, all of the kids loved it, there was something for everyone. I did learn however that in the future I will not try to fix 3 children's plates all at once at a busy buffet. I took the big kids with me to pick out their food, they really did a great job but some of the adults there were ridiculous. You'd think that if they have to wait 10 seconds for the kids to pick their food, they just might starve. Next time, I will fix their plates in stages. Then, back to wal-mart to register. We had not originally chosen to register, we are not asking for, nor do we expect wedding gifts. But, we did have lots of people asking where we were registered so, we decided if some people want to give us gifts, we should be gracious about it and if they want a registry, we will give them one. Since we had not been planning on a gift table, we decided it would be a fun idea to place any gifts we do receive under our Christmas Palm Tree. Since we are adults and are combining two households there isn't a lot that we NEED but it would be convenient to redecorate a bit to make the house, our house and to get some things that match.
Finally, we got home about 4:30. Craig is here to play games tonight. I need to start thinking about dinner. The kids are playing in the room, there are lots of giggle sounds coming from in there. Jess and Christian are playing games together which is odd, Jess usually is more interested in using her imagination than playing the traditional video game. Jordan is playing dress up with her leopard swimsuit and hot pink plastic high heels. haha! Good Times!
I am sure everyone has figured out by now that there will not be much about our wedding that is 'traditional'. One more traditional thing on the list is that we are not going to have a 'guest book'. Instead, we are going to have everyone who attends sign a photo matte. The Photo matte will go into a shadow box that will also house wedding photos, at least one lei, a wedding invitation and our marriage license, if there is space allowing for all of that anyway, and it will be displayed in our living room. Woohoo! It should be very nice.
Uhoh, Jordan has added a hot pink Dora hat, which she is wearing backwards, to her ensemble. She is too much!
