Moving along nicely!

Well, tonight was nice, fairly quiet around here.

James talked to his Dad a couple of hours ago. He is planning to leave Arizona Thursday morning. I am hoping that he can be here Friday night for dinner. I can't wait to meet him. Now the pressure. What to cook? Maybe chicken fried steak? James loves that; But it takes forever and I won't have much time to visit. Lasagna? I can prepare that the night before and just toss it in the oven when I get in on Friday night. Decisions, Decisions.

The kids had a good time together today. Christian was confused when we told him that he has school tomorrow. He is used to having a weekend morning with us. Unfortunately, Rachel's latest fit is throwing off his routine. The kids didn't want to go to bed tonight. Usually, they get to watch TV until they fall asleep but tonight, an hour and a half after they were told to go to bed, the two oldest kids were still up playing. This resulted in the TV being turned off as punishment. Amazingly, they both were asleep pretty quickly once the TV was off. We need to work on getting them in bed every night without the TV on. That will come, not immediately, but it will come.

I was pretty disappointed to realize that this is Sunday night, the last week of my fantasy football league before playoffs and I forgot to set up my starting line. I hope that everyone who played last week, played again this week. (cross my fingers.) I will find out in the morning how well or how poorly I did.

OK, time for bed. We start a new payroll cycle tomorrow. It's the last week before our wedding and I will be working overtime. I also have to find time to squeeze in getting my nails done, my eyebrows waxed, another pre-marital counseling session with James and Danny, queuing the music for the wedding, trying to get Christian for our Family Christmas photos, getting those developed and put into the Christmas cards that we plan to mail the day after the wedding. I need to start out this week well rested. Ha! I am by far not the only one who will be crazy busy this week. James is having to balance OT at work with finals at school and helping me with the wedding stuff when he can. He also has to work in the family Christmas photos and pre-marital counseling with me too.

Our goal for the week is to concentrate on the positive. We are getting married, we will finally be a real family. James gets to see his dad. I get to meet his dad. And, it will all be over soon!! Woohoo!

But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. —Hebrews 11:6
