Monday Morning!

So far, it's been a good day. All the kids were in a good mood this morning. Jordan needed lots of hugs and kisses. Usually, when we get to school, Jordan walks right in and doesn't look back, she is ready to play. This morning, she was ready for school and to play but she took the time to give me kisses before she went about her day. I have to say, I was pretty excited about that.

I won in fantasy football, even though I never even looked at it this week. Now, I just have to wait to see how the two guys ahead of me do this week to see if I will finally get to move out of 7th place. Oh well, at least I am not in last place and I've had a pretty good time doing this all season.

Work has been interesting. I am sitting quietly and very still. I am not feeling well at all and the bathroom is at the other end of the hall if I get sick it could be ugly. I am getting to listen to everyone's stories about the Christmas party this weekend. I think I am glad that we didn't go. It sounds like everyone who went had too much to drink. They are all filling each other in on what they remember and what the others seem to have forgotten. Apparently, one of the girls did a shot from between the owners wifes breast. Now, she's concerned that she may not have a job by the end of the day. Ha! Crazy Stuff. Sometimes, having no sitter keeps you out of trouble. My brother's Christmas Party was the same night and I just couldn't bring myself to ask mom to watch 6 children at once. He asked her first, he has 4 kids, he needs some adult time out.

I do like to go out once in awhile but I hate leaving the kids. I trust my parents implicitly with them but their bedtime is before anything good ever starts, even a good movie, since James doesn't get off until 7. The earliest we could get to a movie is about 8 and then, it's already time to start putting the kids to bed. I like having my kids home at night, otherwise, I miss them. This leaves me with two options. Either letting them sleep at mom's, then I have to get up and out early the next morning to get them so that my parents can start thier day or I have to wake them up to take them home that night. Even if we spend 3 hours for dinner and a movie are done and ready to go home by 1030 or 11, that is the middle of the night for them which isn't good. So, I have been thinking about calling the vo-tech that Robert teaches for and asking for the names of a couple of seniors from the early childhood education and development program who may be interested in making extra money. Since bedtime for the kids is reasonably early, we may be able to pull it off that the sitter comes and helps us put the kids to bed while we are getting ready, that way if the kids wake up, they aren't surprised to see the sitter. Then everyone can be happy and resting and the sitter just has to watch cable and to call us if one of the kids wakes up and needs us. I wonder how the kids would feel about this. I also wonder how much one of these teenagers would cost. Ha! I first had this idea before I ever even met James but I have yet to do anything about it. On the one hand, this sounds great. On the other hand, sitters of any kind make me nervous.
