Man, it's cold!

Yesterday, We got our first delivery of the things we had ordered online for the wedding. It's the limbo set!! It's made of real bamboo. It's tall and pretty sturdy. It's all getting very exciting. We should get at least two more packages delivered today and one tomorrow. The wildcard is the one shipment that was send USPS. It should be here by Saturday I would think.

unfortunately, because of the weather the girls' school cancelled the Christmas program that was scheduled for last night. Jessica was pretty heart broken. It did give us some time family time. We got take out Chinese and watched one of the kids' favorite movies with them.

This morning, we got everyone up and ready for school and headed to the cars. Usually, we don't all leave at the exact same time but this morning it worked out that way. The kids were all confused. First, Christian headed to my car. It couldn't have possibly been from habit, he's never even been in my car but my car was the one at the end of the driveway so, I suppose that made sense. James called him and told him that was the wrong car, by then the girls were out there, so they tried to get in James' car with Christian. It was too funny, every once in awhile something simple like this will happen and we get a small glimpse that the kids are all just as family minded as James and I are. When it happens I get a fuzzy feeling, it's nice to see that they are just as happy as we are with our new family. Once, we decided to have a day where we split up, James was taking Christian bowling and I was taking the girls to a movie. We thought they'd like some one on one time. Not at all. The kids didn't understand why we couldn't all go bowling or all go to a movie or go bowling then to a movie. It took awhile to convince them that it was a fun idea to split up for the afternoon. I'm still not certain they were ever really convinced.

Anyway! We finally got everyone in the correct cars and off we went. I was taking of at I-240 and Penn and something didn't feel or sound right. I pulled over, my right rear tire was flat. This was 7:45. By the time I got a hold of roadside assistance and they got there to change my tire, I was very late for work and the girls missed breakfast at school. So, we grabbed Braums sausage biscuits for breakfast on the way. I finally got to work at 9:45. That was quite a dent in my day but that just means that it's got to get better from here.

Jordan was up all night last night again. This time just crying, not getting sick. I made her an appointment with her Dr for this afternoon. I am hoping that she doesn't have another ear infection. It makes me sad to know that my baby is in so much pain and I can do is hold her. I want to be able to fix it.

Jessica and I had our first BIG talk this morning. She asked me "Mom, is there really a tooth fairy in this world?" I couldn't lie to her when she asked me a direct question like that. I had to tell her the truth. "No." But, I told her if she wanted when she gets big enough to start loosing her teeth we can still put them under her pillow and I will still give her a quarter just for fun. She seemed pretty ok with that so, I figured why not get it all over with at once. So, I told her, I had something else to tell her. I told her that Mommy is Santa too. She really seemed ok with that as long as she can still get her picture taken at the mall and she can still get presents. Based on how easily she took the news. I think she must've already had suspicions. Everyone at work said I was mean for telling her already, they said she was too young. If you had asked me beforehand, I probably would have said the same thing, that she was too young but sometimes, you have to take the moments when they seem right. Today, seemed right. BUT then I had to tell her it's a big secret. She can't tell sissy or Christian or any of the kids at school about the tooth fairy or santa. She didn't question me at all about why it was a secret, she just went with it.
