Kids need Sleep

Well, We finally found out what Rachel wanted when she was calling so early. Of course, she was still upset about James mailing her child support. Which, she has finally picked up. She told James that she is going to call DHS and have them start taking it out of his check. I hope she does. It doesn't effect us in anyway at all except one less trip to the bank for a money order. She will find they are not nearly as nice as James is who more often than not hand delivers her child support to her, a day, a week or weeks early at her request (demand) because she doesn't have any money. She will have to wait until the payroll department at his company gets around to sending the money to CSED. Most companies will send it in when they do payroll but they are not obligated to send it until the end of the month which is very different from James working all of our plans around making sure that she gets her check on or before the first which is what he has always done until he finally decided to start mailing it so that he has documentation. Then they will hold it exactly two business days before issuing a check to her that will take another day or two at least to arrive or she could have it direct deposited, they will still hold it the two business days and then there will be a one day delay w/ direct deposit. At best she will get the money 3 days after CSED receives it. It doesn't appear to me that she was in much of a hurry to get it this month since it took her four days to pick it up. Also, how will she feel if they do a child support review and realize she and James have shared custody and the only reason she gets child support is because James is too nice and they enter a new judgment canceling her payments completely.

She also wanted to complain about Christian being in bed so early when she stopped by. Yes, they were in bed but not asleep yet. We do like to make sure that they get plenty of rest. Every Wednesday when we get Christian he is so tired that he can't even make the five minute trip home before he falls asleep in the car. Maybe if she had a bedtime for him, he wouldn't be so exhausted. James has tried giving her information about how to set bed-times and age appropriate sleep needs but she chooses not to pay any attention. Much like she said the Dr's don't know what they are talking about when we had him in the ER and she wanted to give him candy and they said he should wait to eat or drink until after the examination. It seems like she has no regard for what's good for Christian as long as she gets her way. Poor Christian is the one who pays for her choices. How can he concentrate and learn at school if he can't stay awake?

UGH! OK, I think I am done venting.

James did talk to his counselor today. He needs 4 classes next semester to graduate. He is good to go on three of the four but still needs a PE class. All of the ones that are available are during times that he is working. He is hoping that someone will drop one of the classes that he needs soon. He was scheduled to go do this review a few weeks ago but got a call from Louise with 3 hours notice that he had to take Christian to get shots that day. A well child check-up is usually scheduled days if not weeks in advance but he got 3 hours notice and had to cancel his plans for the day and couldn't get it rescheduled until today. It's funny, one reason that Louise says she's concerned about him marrying me is that she doesn't think he'll finish school. I am a huge fan of the idea of him graduating and soon. All of the fuss that she's caused, using that as an excuse and she could very easily be the reason herself that he may not graduate this semester as scheduled.

James did send his mom an invitation to the wedding even though she has said if he marries me he won't have a mother anymore. I think he did an admirable thing, extending an opportunity for her to reconsider and make amends with him. However, we have already gotten feed back from Rachel. Buddy and Louise have let her see the invitation that was sent and she told James today that she doesn't want Christian to go to the wedding unless Louise and Buddy will be there. Well, we can't control whether or not they accept the invitation but given that Rachel and James share custody with each other and not with Buddy and Louise and we scheduled the wedding for James' usual day to have Christian, Rachel is not inconvenienced at all and she does not have the final vote. I was worried that Louise and Buddy would do this, they have become quite skilled at setting us up for ambush by Rachel. They make certain she knows every move we make.

OK, I guess that I wasn't done venting but, I promise I am now. I just hate seeing all of these people who have claimed to love James and Christian do so much to hurt them.
