Christmas Clothes

I love to Shop! Last night after work, I picked up the girls from school. Jessica and I were talking about her day and her upcoming Christmas program. She was telling me how the boys are supposed to bow and how the girls are supposed to curtsy in their dresses. I thought "OMG! I forgot they need to have their Christmas outfits NOW before the program, I can't believe I forgot we needed to get them early. So, we headed out to Wal-mart.

I remember when there was one big wal-mart on the south side of town, it always seemed busy but now there are wal-marts everywhere and they are all always busy. It seems like the people multiply every time they build a new one.

We finally made it through the crowds to the back of the store to the little kids area. Christmas clothes are so pretty. I love the colors. I like to have the girls matching so we looked until we found something that the girls and I all could agree on, for being so young they are very opinionated. The dresses that we picked out were sleeveless so I found long sleeve white shirts with silver specks for the girls to wear under the dresses. They will be so cute. Next, we were off to the boys area. I found a couple of handsome little suit sets for Christian. I picked one that had complimentary colors to the outfits that I'd gotten for the girls. It is gray slacks, a white button up shirt and a sweater vest. I called my brother who's been doing this boy thing for awhile now and asked if Christian should wear a tie with a sweater vest. Then we decided that it would be ok with or without the tie. My thought is Christian would probably prefer not to wear a tie, so I decided to put the them back on the rack. Next we were off to the toddler shoes. I found some very cute little girl shoes, I made the girls try them on to make sure that we got ones that will fit right. Now for Christians shoes. Where are the boys shoes? I thought all of the toddler shoes were here together. I was very confused until a lady near me asked if I had looked on the next aisle. Who knew that the toddler shoes were separated by boys and girls? I know I've seen shoes on the other aisle that I thought must have been boy shoes before. There are some very handsome little boy dress shoes. I am very excited. I was trying to remember what size he wears, I think a 12. I wish I could take him with me for this kind of thing so I could try them on and know for sure, or even if I could call someone who has him right now and ask them to look at the shoes he has on. Well, all I can do is my best. I decided to wait on shoes until Tuesday after work so that I can be sure. I checked the size on the shoes we have at home for him. It's a 12 1/2. Glad that I waited.

When James got home, I had all of the outfits laid out for him to see. He seemed pleased, even though clothes aren't his favorite topic. He is too cute.

I can't wait to get them all dressed up and start taking pictures. I think they are going to be adorable!!!!!

I checked the status of our clothes order again. Still nothing. James is going to put a stop payment on it today and we will go another way tonight. I also checked the status of our decorations order. That is coming along nicely and should be delivered while James is at home tomorrow. Woohoo! I can't wait to see everything that we ordered.

Milan sent me an email to say that he wants to start picking Jessica up on Wednesday afternoons. Now, I have to find a polite way to say. "NO." He has no legal visitation or custody rights and for good reason. Even so, I always try to make time, even if it means canceling my own plans to make sure that he gets to see her when he wants. I keep him informed about her school activities and her social life, he is always kept up to date. He always knows if she's been sick, if she had a friends birthday party, he's invited to school activities. It's always worked out ok. He's involved but they aren't alone. And all of this comes right behind him asking to take her to see his mother last week. He usually respects the situation. I don't know what he is thinking right now. Hopefully, it will pass SOON.

Tonight is James' big test. He's a little worried and taking extra time off to study beforehand. I know he'll do great. He always does. He doesn't seem to know the truth about himself, that he is brilliant.
